Mike McIntyre, also known as “Papa Mac” or “Big Mac” to his family, is many things. He is a Marine Corps veteran, a police officer, avid White Sox fan, a son, a brother, a husband, a dad, a friend, a golfer and a grandfather to six. Recently, we were given the punch-in-the-gut news that he is also a cancer patient. But, given his very positive spirit and attitude, along with the support of his family and friends, he is going to add one more identity: SURVIVOR.
Be The Match has found him a bone marrow donor, and we are forever grateful to this very kind & unbelievably generous young man, and the Be the Match organization for this. We would like to give back and support future donors and recipients; we can best do this by increasing their donor registry and fundraising on their behalf.
