Randy Schertz Memorial

Randy's family is raising money for Be the Match in honor and memory of Randy who loved his family so dearly.  

It is hard to believe that such a special organization could touch a single family so much.  Randy's grandson Kane found out at an early age he would require a lifesaving bone marrow transplant to treat a rare disorder.  That match and donor was found through this wonderful organization called Be the Match and Kane is a 12 year survivor!  

Randy's great-niece, his brother's granddaughter Josie, also has been touched by Be the Match.  Her donor was found through this same wonderful program and she is currently undergoing treatment.  

Part of what makes this possible is participation.  These two youngsters both have a new lease on life thanks to an organization that brings people together to help each other.  In the spirit of Randy's big heart, and endless love for his large family, we could not think of a better way to honor his memory.
