Joshua's Search for a Donor

Raising Funds to Provide Hope for Searching Patients

Every year, 12,000 patients are diagnosed with life-threatening blood cancers or blood diseases like sickle cell for which a bone marrow transplant from an unrelated donor may be their best option for a second chance of life.

Patients like Joshua, who is battling sickle cell disease, depend on Be The Match—and the kindness of people like you—to find a genetically suitable match.

At the age of 18 months, Joshua suffered a stroke leaving him partially paralyzed, relying on a wheelchair for support.

Joshua and his mom, Vera, have worked with Be The Match for approximately seven years to add more individuals to the registry to help patients find a matching donor.

Joshua recently met Robin Roberts on Good Morning America to share his story. Joshua and his family were also surprised during that segment with an amazing and generous gift of a wheelchair accessible van from Rollx Vans, so he can now travel with his family while we continue to search for his match.

Your gift today truly makes a life-saving difference. With your financial contribution, you help add new potential donors to the registry, fund research and provide financial assistance to patients in need.

Give today and give hope to more searching patients.
