In 2009, 14-year marrow transplant survivor and thriver Bob Falkenberg began cycling to focus on health and wellness throughout his healing journey.

As Bob progressed from barely being able to walk a block to cycling in 100-mile races, he set out to redefine what survivorship could look like.

With the goal of raising awareness and funds in support of the life-saving mission of Be The Match®, Bob cycled over 25,000 miles over the past 11 years. Along the way, he brought hope to hospital staff and patients undergoing transplants.

From this passion and dedication, the Tour de TC cycling program was born. Since then, it has grown to include six amazing tours, all with the same goal—to build awareness, raise critical funds and bring hope to transplant patients and their families.

Why we ride

When you join the Tour de TC, you’re not just riding a bike—you’re saving lives.

All funds raised make a critical impact for patients and their families—adding potential life-saving donors to the Be The Match Registry®, covering uninsured costs throughout the transplant journey and funding groundbreaking research to improve transplant outcomes for patients.
