What is Team Be The Match?
Team Be The Match is the online fundraising program at Be The Match. Every day, dedicated supporters turn their passions and hobbies into life-saving fundraisers. Team Be The Match is YOUR opportunity to fundraise and save lives YOUR way.
All gifts, either online or at a live event, will be added to your HOSA Team Be The Match page. Register today and all funds raised go to help Be The Match® add new potential donors to the Be The Match Registry®, conduct life-saving research, and ease the financial burden for blood stem cell donors and patients before and after transplant. No matter what you do with your HOSA chapter, you will be saving lives.
Should I start a Team Page or an Individual Page?
Your advisor or HOSA chapter president should start the Team Page. Whomever creates the Team Page will also receive a Personal Page. Then every chapter member can “Join the Team” and each have their own Personal Page. All gifts raised on Personal Pages will appear on the Team Page as well.
How do I join a team?
There are several ways. You can go to the team and click “Join Our Team”. Or you can start on the home page of the HOSA Team Be The Match site and select REGISTER. From there you will enter your contact information and you will be able to select your team.
I have questions on using my fundraising page, what can I do?
Contact us at HOSA@nmdp.org. Or if it’s urgent you can call during business hours (800) 507-5427.
What if I don’t remember my username or password?
Go to ACCOUNT LOGIN at the top of the page and click “Forgot Password”. Your username, or a link to reset your password, will be emailed to you within minutes. These messages occasionally end up in spam or junk mail folders, so please be sure to check.
If you have any questions, please contact us at (800) 507-5427 or email HOSA@nmdp.org.
We collected cash and checks at an event; how do I turn those in to Be The Match? Will they show on our page?
We always recommend turning cash into a cashier’s check before shipping. Then you can send all funds with this form (mailing address is at the bottom of the form). All gifts will be added to your fundraising page.
Do I have to fundraise?
To help deliver more cures to patients waiting for bone marrow and stem cell transplants, we count on all Team Be The Match participants to fundraise. There is no minimum fundraising requirement and you can set your own team and individual fundraising goals. However, we encourage fundraisers to set a goal of $100 or more. Setting a fundraising goal is a great way to motivate friends and family to give so they can feel pride when you reach your goal! Remember, you are helping all patients receive the stem cell transplant they need, when they need it. Once registered, you'll have access to all the tips and tools you'll need to make fundraising easy!
What is the Dashboard?
When you register online for Team Be The Match, you automatically get your very own Dashboard. Your Dashboard is designed to facilitate your fundraising efforts. Update your page with your story and photo, track your donations, and send emails to your contacts asking them to visit your page and make a contribution. You can even connect your fundraising page directly to Facebook!
What else can I do with my page?
You can link your Twitch or YouTube livestream and supporters can give gifts without ever leaving your stream! You can also set milestones and incentives to encourage your supporters to give. Have some fun with it!
Who do I contact if I have questions about the site?
Contact Team Be The Match at HOSA@nmdp.org or call (800) 507-5427 with any questions.
If you call, keep in mind we are available to answer questions weekdays between 8:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. CST.
